The Manitowoc Pilot
Thursday, 8 May, 1873

         DAVID MYERS, sailor, was lost overboard from the
       schooner Sea Gem while furling the gaft-topsail while
       coming into this port on Thursday evening, May 1st. 
       His brother JOHN MYERS, was in town Tuesday and had
       the following notice printed and circulated.
       
         REWARD - A liberal reward will be given for the
       body of DAVID MYERS, who was lost overboard from
       the schr. Sea Gem, off Manitowoc, on the night of
       Thursday, May 1st. Apply to JONAH RICHARDS, Manitowoc,
       Wis.
