Saturday, 12 July 1884 Last Wednesday afternoon while on his way home with a load of lumber from Decker's saw mill, in the town of Casco, and while going down the in- cline of Decker's Bridge, Mr. JOHN LIEBECK, and old and respected farmer of the town of Luxemberg, fell off his wagon and was instantly killed. The cause of the accident, as reported to us, was ow- ing to the lumber on the wagon slipping forward, and in falling, one of the wagon wheels passed directly over his head, crushing it so badly as to cause instant death. LIEBECK was one of the oldest and well known settlers of this county and his sudden death will be a suprise to many who knew him. He was about 74 years of age and very decrepit at the time of his death. ===========================================================================
