              For several weeks there has been a rumor
            of a deal to sell the Cary and Superior
            mines. Yesterday the rumor changed to a
            certainty and it is now known that the 
            Odanah Iron Company has sold these mines
            to Pickands, Mather & Company, a prominent
            ore commission firm of Cleveland. We under-
            stand the consideration for the lease and
            equipment was $300,000. MR. HAZELTINE, of
            Milwaukee, S. S. CURRY, of Ironwood, were
            among the heavy stockholders in the Odanah
            Company and they are said to have negotiated
            the sale. We hope this will mean greater
            activity at these properties. We understand
            that MR. CHAS. MUNGER is to have charge of
            the mines for the new owners - Hurly Miner.
