He is a son of JUDGE CLARK, and was about 24 years old, and had sailed on the Lake nearly all his life, though this was the first vessel with any pretentions to size on which he had ever sailed, his experience heretofore having been con- fined to fishing boats, in one of which he was con- sidered one of the best sailors at the head of the Lake. He was a jovial, generous-hearted and fearless fellow and had many warm friends in Superior, who will miss him greatly. The news of his loss fell with crushing weight upon his parents, more especially his mother, who has only lately recovered from nervous prostration caused by the death, some years ago, of a much-loved son, and also, about five years ago, of a daughter, who was lost on the ill-fated propeller R. G. Coburn. ===============================================================================
