Saturday, 19 August, 1872


         CHARLES ROTHER, residing a mile or so below
       Brothertown, in Calumet county, a married man,
       aged about 26 or 28 years, becoming tired of
       life, hanged himself one day last week on his
       premises, where his body was found some hours
       later.
