         Thursday night about six o'clock as Nick Conrad
       and CHRISTIAN EICHHORN, of New Holstein, were on
       their way home from here, and when near Hobart's
       grove, one of the bits broke, frightened the horses,
       when they started to run. They were thrown from the
       wagon, and Mr. EICHHORN, a man about 70 years of
       age, was thrown out, his head striking the fence
       corner, inflicting a wound in the left temple and
       probably rupturing a blood vessel in the brain,
       causing immediate death. The remains were conveyed
       to New Holstein Thursday evening by Daniel Lynch.
