She was 88 years and 10 months old. Death followed an illness of three days. She had been ailing, however, since last September when she suffered a stroke She was born Mar. 18, 1849 in Pommerania, Germany, a daughter of LUDWIG JODAR and CHARLOTTE HAESE. In 1868 she came to the United States and in 1874 she was wed to HENRY DUERNBERGER by the Rev. Juniper of Morrison. For 20 years the couple made their home on a farm three and a half miles from Brillion. Upon retiring they moved to our city where Mr. DUERNBERGER died some years ago. A son and a daughter, MARY also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and belonged in the Frauenverein and the Sewing circle. The funeral was on Wednesday following a postponement of a day due to the heavy storm of Monday night and Tuesday. Services were conducted by the Rev M. P. Sauer. Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery. Survivors are the grandson, CARL ALTMAN and wife, one brother, HERMAN JODAR of Moline Ill., and two sisters, Mrs. JOHN TESCH and Mrs. CARL BARTZ of our city. ===========================================================================
