Deceased settled in Sheboygan county about 42 years ago, locating in the Town of Herman where, for a number of years he conducted a farm, and afterwards a store on line of the Calumet plank road in the same Town. He has been troubled with rheumatism for a num- ber of years, also had two strokes of paralysis, and for two years has been unable to speak. A wife and two children survive him. The funeral was conducted under the auspices of the Odd Fellows lodge of Chilton, de- ceased being a member of the lodge in this city. ===========================================================================
