Wednesday, 23 October, 1895

         FREDERICK SCHERAF (sic), 16 years old, died of
       quick diphtheria in Brillion. He was a son of WILLIAM
       SCHERAF (sic).
         RAY SOWEN (sic), of Stockbridge, died of the same
       disease.
         CLARA BECKER, daughter of GEORGE BECKER, died of
       the same malady. There are thirty others in that
       section who are afflicted with diphtheria.
       
       Transcriber's Note: "Sheraf" - his grave stone says
                            SHARF.
                            "SOWEN" - his grave marker says
                            Sawings.
