Born in Prussia, Germany, May 7, 1854. He came to America in 1863 with his parents, and moved to Milwaukee, Wis., where in 1872, he learned the harness-maker's trade. In 1878 he moved to Sherwood, and began business for himself. In 1879 he married Miss MAHLBEG, of Milwaukee.
