Born in Chilton, March 18, 1849. His father, JAMES ROBINSON, was closely identified with the early settlement of this county, and his son received his education here, with the exception of his commercial training, which he received in the Fond du Lac College. In 1872 he was appointed agent for the railroad and express companies in Chilton, being the first resident agent. He continued working for the conpany till 1876, when he purchased a share in a store, the firm then being JAMES ROBINSON & Son. The business finally passed into his own hands. He carries a stock of $5,000, and does a business of $15,000. In 1875 he married Miss ELIZA McLEAN, of Stockbridge. They have two children, JOSEPHINE and GENEVIEVE. They are all members of the Catholic Church. ===========================================================================
