Born in Prussia, Germany, March 22, 1825. Bringing his family to America in 1856, they landed in New York, and proceeded at once to Wisconsin, locating in Sheboygan. He went to work at his trade, shoemaking, remaining there till 1875, when he came to Hilbert, opening a general store. In 1854, he married Miss AMELIA YUSS, of Germany. They have a family of five children, having lost one - CHARLIE, HATTIE (now Mrs. FRANZKE), GUSTOFF, LUCY and LOUI (deceased). Mr. PFLUGRADT served in the army in his fatherland four years. ===========================================================================
