Born in Susquehanna Co., Pa., Nov. 29, 1819, where he remained till 1850, when he came to Calumet Co., Wis, and bought 100 acres in the town of Chil- ton, on which part of the city is now laid out. He lived on this farm till 1878, when he sold it and removed to Graves- ville, where he now resides, having retired from active life. In 1839 he married Miss JANE SIMPSON, of Pennsylvania. They had five children - ALVIRA, now Mrs. WHITE, and JENNIE, now Mrs. POTTER, are living; they lost the three sons, JOHN, GEORGE and WILLIAM. Mr. ORAM has been Chairman of town of Chilton, and has held other offices. They are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. ===========================================================================
