THOMAS LYNCH, lawyer, Chilton. Born in Granville, Milwaukee Co., Wis., Nov. 21, 1844. His youth was passed upon a farm. He came to Chilton in 1864 where he bought a farm, and, till 1871, was engaged in agriculture. In the Fall of 1871, he began teaching, at the same time reading law. In the Spring of 1872, he was elected to the Assembly, having been Chairman of the Town in 1868, 1869 and 1870. In 1873, was elected Chairman of the County and Town Board of Supervisors. In 1874, he at- tended the Law School at Madison, and graduated in 1875. Returning to Chilton, he entered the firm of McMullen & Lynch, and in 1877 opened an office of his own. He was elected District Attorney in 1878, and still holds that position. In 1867, Nov. 2, he married Miss WINNIFRED FINNEGAN, of Rantoul. They have three children living, having lost five. They are members of the Catholic Church. - ===========================================================================
