E. LUCE, teacher Chilton High School. Born in Coles Co., Ill., Dec. 28, 1849. While yet an infant his parents removed to Grant Co., Wis. When of proper age, he was sent to the State Normal School at Platteville. His brother was there at the same time, and graduated with him in 1873. He at once commenced teaching, and went to Manitowoc County, where he took charge of the Ward School. The next year he went to Belmont, LaFayette Co., and taught there for one year. He came to Chilton in 1876. In 1879, he married Miss MARY A. VINCENT. They have one child, MARY MAUD. ===========================================================================
