         F. JOSEPH EGERER, saloon, Chilton. Born in Fond du Lac
       Co., Wis., Feb. 17, 1860. His early years were passed on
       a farm; his time divided between school and home duties
       until 1879, when he came to Chilton. In 1880 he and Mr.
       Jansen bought their present business, under the firm name
       of Jansen and Egerer.
