Born in Steuben Co., N.Y., in 1843. Came west in 1857. He worked on a farm north of the city of Chilton, and in 1861 enlisted in the 14th Wis. V. I., Co. G. returned to Chilton in 1865, sold his farm and moved to Brillion, where he engaged in real estate and farm- ing. He also invested in pine lands. He is married and has two sons and one daughter. In 1874. DASKAM'S first addition to the village of Brillion was made, and in 1876, DASKAM & JONE's addtion was made comprising the largest half of the place on the West Side. ===========================================================================
