L. BARBER, farmer, Sec. 22, P.O. Hayton. Born in Jersey, Oct. 10, 1827. In 1847 he went to Chemung Co., N. Y., and from there to Calumet Co., Wis., in 1851, going first to Holstein, and finally settling here on a farm of eighty acres. In 1847 he married Miss DeMOUTH of New Jersey, and has a family of seven children. Mr. BARBER has held most of the town offices. He was Town Clerk for eight years and District Clerk for eighteen; is a member of both the Masonic lodge and of the I. O. O.
