Friday, 9 February, 1912

         A dispatch was received by officials of the New
       Dells Lumber Co. in this city late last night that
       one of their employees in the camps near Kennedy,
       named OLE LARSON, was instantly killed yesterday
       while felling a tree.
         According to the report the young man was work-
       ing with a companion, a neighborhood chum with
       whom he had gone to the woods, and had sawed off
       a large timber. When it fell it glanced on another
       tree and before young LARSON could escape he was
       crushed to the earth.
         The victim was a young, unmarried farmer living
       on Rural Route No. 7, Mondovi, and was well known
       in this city. The body will be brought here today
       and will then be shipped to Mondovi.
