         Mondovi, Wis., Oct. 4. - MRS. CELISTA GILMAN
       of this city, wife of former Assemblyman FRANK
       GILMAN, died suddenly at the home of her daugh-
       ter, Mrs. Dr. ROBERTS, in Great Falls, Mont.,
       Saturday evening, only a few hours after reach-
       ing that city whither she had gone on a visit
       in an effort to recuperate her failing health.
       MRS. GILMAN was 83 years old. She leaves three
       sons and one daughter. MRS. GILMAN and her hus-
       band came to this section in 1850 from Vermont.
