         F. H. WESTERKAMP, boot and shoe store, Fountain City, was
       born in Germany, July 19, 1818; came to America in 1853, and 
       settled in Galena, Ill., and in 1854, came to Fountain City, 
       and has since been engaged in shoemaking. He married MARIA 
       ENGEL, a native of Germany. They have four children - HENRY, 
       GERHARDT, DORA and LIZZIE.
