He graduated at the Indiana Medical College, and received his diploma on the 26th of February, 1875. He had been in the practice of medicine some time in the city of Indianapolis before he graduated. In 1875 he made a permanent location in this village, and has thereby become one of Alma's staunch citizens. In the same year he came to Alma, he married NANCY L. FURGASON, who was also born in Marion County. They have two children, ELSIE and CARRIE; Mr. M. was for a short time in the U.S. A. as drummer. He enlisted in Co. A., 47th Ind. in 1865, and was discharged in same year. ===========================================================================
