         C. W. LAWRENCE, proprietor of livery barn, Alma, was born
       in Ticonderoga, N.Y., April 16, 1854; came to Wisconsin in 
       1858, and located with his parents at New Lisbon, where they 
       remained two years, and then removed to Alma, where they have 
       since lived. He married KATIE HOFFER, a native of Jefferson 
       County.
