H. C. Cooper, Jr. & Co., Winona, MN - 1919 [page 177-178] ALBERT EMIL LARSON, who rents and operates the farm in section 19, Maxville township, established by his father in 1883, was born on this farm Nov. 12, 1884, son of CHRIST and ANNA (ANDERSON) LAR- SON. The parents were natives of Norway, but were married in Wis- consin. The father was a farmer from his youth up and was well qualified, therefore, to wrestle with any agricultural problem. When he settled on his land in Maxville township he began with but a few acres, but gradually increased his landed possessions until he owned a tract of 220 acres, on which he built a good frame house and other buildings. After an industrious career he died in 1916 at the age of 56 years. His wife is still living, being now 54 years old. ALBERT EMIL, who was the eldest of their ten children, was educated in the school of his district and learned farming on his parents' homestead, where he has always made his home. On his father's death in 1916 he took over the place, on which he is engaged in grain and stock raising with success. He is a member of the Norwegian Lutheran church. MR. LARSON married MARY SERUM, daughter of CHRIST SERUM of Modena township. ===========================================================================
