He came to America in 1856, and his first location was in La Crosse where he attended school for two years. In 1864 he settled in Alma, and has been engaged in various business since, and is now a member of one of the leading films in the city. In 1871 he married CHRISTENA MANN, a native of Kentucky. They have four children - FRANK C., AURILLA, ROSA and ALFRED. ===========================================================================
