Cooper, Jr. & Co., Winona, MN - 1919 [page 204] EDWIN ACCOLA, a well-known farmer and dairyman of Alma town- ship, Buffalo county, having a fine farm in section 16, was born in Alma township, Jan. 5, 1881, son of PAUL and MARIE (SAXER) ACCOLA, his parents being natives of Switzerland, who settled in Alma township, Buffalo county, in 1856. He resided with them until arriving at the age of 23 years, and then began an indepen- dent career by purchasing a farm in section 16, Alma township, this county, on which he lived for about six years, taking his present farm in 1909. Its buildings and equipment are all in modern style, the former including a cement basement barn, 40 by 70 feet in size, and a good tile silo. MR. ACCOLA devotes considerable attention to dairying and has a good herd of milch cows. The farm contains 416 acres, of which about 100 acres are under cultivation. MR. ACCOLA is numbered among the enterprising and well to do citizens of his township. In politics he is a Republican. He was married, Oct. 29, 1904, to CLARA LEHMAN, who was born in Alma township, Jan. 3, 1884, daughter of HENRY and URSULA (WALD) LEHMAN. Her father was a native of Saxony, Germany, and her mother of Alma township, Buffalo county, Wisconsin. They are now retired and are living in Alma, but still own the farm on which they resided for about 37 years. Their children were: ELLA, CLARA, ANNA, HENRY, OLIVIA, ROY, AUGUST, MAY, ALVINA and WILMA, all of whom are now living. ===========================================================================
