         STEPHEN ELLIS, age 55 years, barber,
       Brattleboro, died Wednesday of last week,
       the result of a gunshot wound received
       while hunting at East Nutfield, Mass.,
       with HIRAM LIVINGSTON, a Brattleboro ice
       dealer. It is stated that the hammerless
       shotgun was in the carriage between the
       men, when it was discharged and the en-
       tire charge struck ELLIS under the chin,
       making a horrible wound.
