         Northfield
         
         An accident occurred at the Adams Slate
       quarry last week Wednesday, by which F. C.
       CLARK, a workman, 45 years of age, lost his
       life. He fell into the pit, a distance of
       fifty feet. He leaves a wife and four
       children.
       
       
         DIED:
         
         In Montpelier, April 16, GRACE E., eldest
       daughter of GEO. L. STORY, aged 4 years.
       
         In Montpelier, April 17, CORA (KING), wife
       of ARTHUR JOHONNOTT, and daughter of HON. 
       CLARK KING, aged 23 years.
       
         In Montpelier, of diphtheria, April 17,
       his birthday, CHARLIE J., only child of
       CLEMENT and KATE PROVOST, aged 6 years.
       
         In Montpelier, April 11, MRS. CYNTHIA
       HILL, mother of MRS. ERASTUS CAMP, aged
       81 years.
       
         In East Montpelier, April 14, NICHOLAS H.
       BENNETT, aged 58 years.
       
         In South Barre, April 13, MRS. RHODA GREEN,
       aged 97 years and 6 months.
