SPAULDING, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. SPAULDING, and H. ALLISON MATOT of Whiting, were married at the home of the bride Wednesday evening, Dec. 25th, 1901, at 8 o'clock. Rev. H. White was the officiating clergyman. The bride was gowned in a travelling dress of green broadcloth with trimmings of white corded silk and green velvet. The groom wore the conventional black. Lohengrin's wed- ding march was played by MISS CATHERINE CONLEY of Clinton, Wis. Refreshments were served dur- ing the evening by MISSES LULA and LAURA MOUND, MISS KATHERINE CONLEY and MISS ADDIE BUCKLIN. The array of presents bore testimony to the high esteem in which the young people are held by their wide circle of friends. The happy young couple left Thursday for a short wedding trip. Tuesday evening, Dec. 31, a reception was given by Mr. and Mrs. H. M. MATOT. About one hundred friends gathered to extend their best wishes and congratulations to the newly wedded pair. Refreshments were served, after which Rev. H. White presented to the bride and groom a very nice sideboard and lamp from the people of Whiting. The remarks made were re- sponded to in a very pleasing manner by the groom. Mr. and Mrs. H. A. MATOT will be at home to their friends after January 1st at Whiting. ===============================================================================
