ANNA DOTY WITHERELL, widow of the late JOHN H. WITHERELL, died at her late home Thursday evening, Jan. 18. MRS. WITHERELL was born Nov. 12, 1847, and was the daughter of HENRY N., and ANN ELIZA (DOTY) SOLLACE. She married JOHN HARRIS WITHERELL Sept. 4, 1866. She is survived by one son, HERMAN S. WITHERELL, who lives on the home place, and two daughters, MRS. ORLIN E. CONVERSE and MRS. GEORGIANNA WILLIAMS of DeKalb, Ill. Another daughter, MRS. WILLIAM C. FINN- ESSY of Burlington, died last September. Six grandchildren survive her, STANLEY CONVERSE, a student in U. V. M., and MOLLIE and HELEN CONVERSE, and CYNTHIA, JOHN H., and ELIZABETH WITHERELL, all of this town. The funeral services were held from the Congregational church Sunday af- ternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Hervey Gulick officiating, and were largely at- tended. The bearers were CYRUS H. SMITH, D. HERMAN BENNETT, J. HERBERT HOWE, WIL- LIAM and JOHN S. DURKETT and JAMES H. FLETCHER. There were many beautiful floral tributes. The interment was in the village cemetery. Among those from out of town were MRS. GEORGIANNA WILLIAMS of DeKalb, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. ROBERT MULHOLLAND of Mineville, N.Y., MRS. STELLA SOLLACE of Albany, N.Y., MISS LOUISE CONVERSE, MISS HARRIETTE WHEELER, STANLEY CONVERSE and WILLIAM C. FINNESSY of Burlington, Mr. and Mrs. DUANE BACON of Vergennes and IRA SOLLACE of Shoreham. ===============================================================================
