         In New Haven

         HON. L. D. ELDREDGE, who died at his home in
       Middlebury on the 14th inst., was buried in Ever-
       green cemetery, New Haven, Tuesday afternoon. He
       was a son of the late DEA. J. L. ELDREDGE of this
       town.
