FRANKLIN BURGE on Friday night, Nov. 22d, at her home in Shoreham, an unusual sorrow fell upon the community. Quiet and unassuming in life, her sweet Christian grace of character and unfailing charity of spirit linked her to the affections of all who knew her. Unconsciously she had glided into the affections of people who scarcely realized, themselves, how strong the bond had become, until the sudden summons told them that they were bereft. MRS. BURGE, with her husband and her oldest daughter, now MRS. FRANK DOUGLAS, came to Shoreham forty-five years ago. She was born in Chester, N.Y., Sept. 3, 1832, her maiden name being HELEN KATHLEEN HIGLEY, and she was married to FRANKLIN BURGE in 1855. Her husband and three children, MRS. FRANK DOUGLAS, HOWARD BURGE and MRS. B. B. PEARSON, survive her. ================================================================================
