HALNON of Salisbury, became the bride of JOHN H. WITHER- ELL of Middlebury, son of Mr. and Mrs. HERMAN S. WITHERELL of Brid- port, in a pretty wedding held at St. Mary's Rectory at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning. The single ring ceremony was performed by Rev. T. J. Leonard. The bride was gowned in navy blue crepe de chine with white costume accessories and a corsage bouquet of white gardenias. Her attendant was her sister, Mrs. JOSEPH MURPHY of Rutherford, N. J. who wore a blue and white ensemble with a cor- sage of sweet peas. J. WILBUR SMITH of Middlebury was the best man. The bride's gift to her bridesmaid was a pearl rosary and the groom presented his best man with a swank collar and tie set. The couple left shortly after the ceremony for a wedding trip to Maine after which they will reside in Middlebury. MRS. WITHERELL was graduated from Middlebury High school in the class of 1931 and MR. WITHERELL in the class of 1928 and both are employed at the National Bank of Middlebury. Last Wednesday MRS. WITHERELL was given a miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. WILBUR J. SMITH and re- ceived many beautiful and useful gifts. There were about twenty-four of her friends present. ===============================================================================
