Will of Moses Simpson the elder. First of all I will and bequeath to my Nephew Richard Simpson, son of my Brother George Simpson, 204 acres of land lying on both sides of South run, also another tract of land of 27-1/2- acres that I bought of Thomzin Ellzey. Item, I will and bequeath to my Nephew Aaron Simpson the residue of the abovementioned tract of 404 acres. Item I will and bequeath to my Nephew Willm. Simpson my Mill and tract of land whereon it stands also 120 acres adjoining it that I bought of John Raily. Item, I will and bequeath to my Nephew James Simpson all the tract of land which I bought of Harrison Manly and Samuel Tillett being 196 acres. Item, I will and bequeath to my nephews George and Joseph Simpson all the tract of land known by the Calico Tract of 323 acres to be equally divided between them. Item, 1 will and bequeath to my nephew Richard Simpson, son of my Brother Richard Simpson in Carolina, the following slaves to wit (4 named). Item, I will and bequeath to my Nease Libby Halley one negro wench. Item, I will and bequeath to my Nephew Richard Windsor one Negro wench. Item, I will and bequeath to Savory Jacobs the following slaves to wit (4 named), I leave my negroes Abner, Easter, and Let free to work and do for themselves provided they hire and live among my family. Item, I will and bequeath to my Nephew John Halley a bond of 70 pds which I have against him .... Residue to be sold and money equally divided among all my brothers and sisters children. The above account does not include all the Debts and credits relative to the above mentioned estate, the balance consists in unsettled debts etc. yet to be accounted for by the Executors.
