McKinney, Tex., Feb.3—Henry Ottenhouse, 72 years old, for almost a half century, a resident of Collin County, died at his home,709 West Howell street, at 8:15 o’clock this morning after a lingering illness of about two years. Mr. Ottenhouse was born in Hanover, Germany, in September, 1839. He served in the Confederate Army throughout the Civil War and after that served as a Texas Ranger for several years. He moved to Collin County about forty years ago. He is survived by a wife and three daughters, Miss Christine Ottenhouse, Mrs. D. W. Hill and Mrs. C. P. Paysinger, all of whom lived in this city, and two sons, H. E. and J. R. Ottenhouse, who reside at Batesville, Zavala County. He also leaves one brother, W. M. Ottenhouse, who makes his home in Zavala County. Services will be conducted at the family residence by Dr. E. E. King, assisted by Rev. W. D. Thompson, tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. ===========================================================================
