Woodford Clayton pub. January 1, 1880 pg 99 ROBERT WHYTE ROBERT WHYTE was a Scotchman by birth, and a very excellent lawyer and judge. He vacated the bench of the Supreme Court in 1834 upon the adoption of the new Constitution, having served as an honored judge for many years. He was then a feeble old man; he lived to a great age, but appeared no more in public life after his retirement from the bench. He was a laborious and accurate lawyer, and exceedingly tenacious of his views and opinions. His opinions as a judge are remarkable for laborious research and accuracy. ===============================================================================
