MARY E. EAKER, nee SAGER, wife of the late PHILIP K. EAKER, was the daughter of JOHN and TENIE SAGER, and was born in Mercer county 77 years ago. She died at her home in Limestone township near Frogtown, Tuesday, January 11, 1910, after four years suffering as an invalid. After spending her childhood and youth in Mercer and Venango counties she was married to MR. EAKER and for over 35 years lived on the farm where she died. The 4th of January, 1910 was the 51st anniversary of her marriage. She is survived by the following children: BARTON and A. BOGGS, Limestone township; LEWIS R. and MRS. SARAH SPACE, Monroe township; T. B. and JAMES E., Mercer county; Miss CORA at home, and SAMUEL EAKER, a step-son, Washington, Pa. She also leaves two sisters, MRS. JOHN CULBERTSON, Venango county, and MRS. VANGESON, Kane, and two brothers, CHRISTOPHER SAGER, Venango county and GEORGE SAGER, of Colorado. For over forty years MRS. EAKER was a devoted Christian and a member of the Salem Reformed church at Frogtown, exemplifying in her daily life the true Christ-like life. The funeral was held last Friday in the church where she had worshipped son long, the services being conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. M. Evans, of Hawthorn, and the body was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the cemtery nearby. The family of the deceased desire to express their sincere thanks to the many friends who by their kindly ministry did much to alleviate the sorrow of Mother's sickness, death and burial. - The Family ===============================================================================
