He was born within a short distance of the place where- on his death occurred, about two and a half miles south of Parkesburg. The farm of his nativity is now occupied by his brothers, JOHN and AARON. For a long time he conducted blacksmith- ing, but about thirty years ago he sold out to JAMES MAITLAND, who is still at work at the old stand. Since that time MR. MILLER had been a farmer, and as suce was success- ful, tilling his acres in a conservative and excellent way and rearing his children prop- erly. He enjoyed the respect of the entire neighborhood, being upright in his dealings with all men and always willing to assist any one in need. MR. MILLER has a third brother living who is in Missouri. REUBEN and SAMUEL, and a sister, RUTHANNA, are dead. There are two sisters living, MRS. SALLIE McCONNELL, of McConnelsburg, and MRS. MARY POTTS, in the Western part of the State. MR. MILLER married ABBIE BAKER, of Home- ville, who survives him. To them were born two daughters, MARY, wife of HAYES BOYD, of Coatesville, and MISS SALLIE MILLER, chief clerk in the Coatesville Post Office. Two sons, SAMUEL and J. BIRD MILLER, died several years since. ===============================================================================
