His wife, Elizabeth Berry, was a daughter of Andrew and Anna Berry, of Scotland, who were also born in Scotland, and came to this country in 1835. James and Elizabeth were married in Ohio in 1859, and had a family of seven children, six of whom PAGE 661 are now living--Mary Ann, George (deceased), Agnes, Jesse, John, William and James.
