Mason & Co., Publication Date: 1888 =========================================================================== PAGE 660 DECKER, William E., Pleasant, Holgate p.o., the principal of the Holgate School, was born in Franklin county, O., in 1858, and was a son of Jackson and Martha Decker, who settled in Naploeon, in 1872, where Martha died in 1882, leaving a family of eight children. William E. attended the Napoleon graded school until 1879, after which he became engaged in teaching, and in 1884 became the principal of the Holgate School, where he now presides. He was married in 1882 to Nettie Mann, of Napoleon. They have one son, Jackson T. Profressor Decker became owner and publisher of the Holgate Times in 1886. He was township assessor of Flat Rock and town clerk of Holgate. ===========================================================================
