BARTLOW, Cornelius, Bartlow, Deshler p. o., was the first settler in
Bartlow township, and from him received its name.  He was born in Lycoming
county, Penn., Oct. 5, 1811, and has been married twice.  His first wife
was Sarah McMahan.  They had four children.  Only one is now living, Mary
A.  His second wife was Elizabeth Medley.  They have had one child, John
T.  Mr. Bartlow has held the office of justice of the peace for nine
years, and township treasurer for twelve years.
