He was locked in the West Side police station and cared for as well as circumstances would permit. He appeared to improve steadily and on Monday seemed much better. At noon, however, he was found dead in his cell, hang- ing from a grating. Two sisters of the deceased are said to live in Brooklyn, New York. ===============================================================================
