TUCKEY, one of Crestline's best known citizens, succumbed to a year's illness from a com- plication of diseases, death relieving his suffer- ings on Sunday, March 30. Funeral services were held from his late home on Henry street Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. A. E. Stockham officiating, and the remains were taken to Nevada for burial. The deceased was aged 73 years, 7 months and two days. He was born August 28, 1845 in Erie county, Pa., and in 1869 went to Coldwater, Mich., where he was engaged in farming until 1871, when he took a position with the Pennsylvania railroad. He remained in their employ for twenty-seven years, being a con- ductor on local freight when he left the Pennsylvania. He has lived in Crestline for 31 years and for 8 years served the city as marshal, and was considered an ef- ficient and conscientious official. MR. TUCKEY was married June 17, 1885 to MISS FLORENCE REYNOLDS, who survives him. He is also sur- vived by two sons, FRANK TUCKEY, of Akron, and EDGAR TUCKEY, of Canton, foun grand-children, two brothers, RICHARD TUCKEY, of Coldwater, Mich., and GARDNER TUCKEY, of Ft. Wayne, and one sister, MRS. PHEOBE BAYLE, of McKean, Pa. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and of Crestline Lodge, Knights of Pythias. ================================================================================
