ALLEN TALBOTT, who for many years had been a resident of Crestline, died at the home of his son, FRANK, in Lima, last Monday evening. The remains were taken to Crestline where the funeral was held from the Methodist church on Thursday afternoon. Born on the TALBOTT farm, just south of Crestline, seventy- four years ago, the deceased resided in Crestline almost his entire lifetime, removing to Lima to reside with his son's family a year ago. About 1870 he and his brother JOSEPH, now deceased, entered the lumber and coal business in Crestline. Their buildings were completely destroyed in 1880, and the deceased and his son, A. F. TALBOTT, erected the Phoenix mill on the site, which business was discontinued two years ago. The deceased was married forty-six years ago to MAHALA WILMINGTON, who died February 8, 1907. One child, FRANK, was born unto the union. This son survives. ===============================================================================
