TALBOTT. - At his residence, one and a half miles south of Crestline, October, 6th, 1874, after a ling- ering illness, ALLEN TALBOTT, SEN., in the 84th year of his age. MR. TALBOTT was a native of Frederick County, Maryland. He was the son of JOSEPH and MARY TALBOTT. His father died at the age of 89 years. His mother died Sept. 5th, 1872, at the advanced age of 102 years and 10 months. MR. TALBOTT removed with his father, when quite young, to Richmond, Jefferson County, Ohio, when the country was an unbroken wilder- ness. In 1819, he was married to MARY ROBERTS, of Frederick County, Maryland. In the spring of 1828 he moved to his late residence in Crawford County, Ohio. He was the father of nine children, four sons and five daughters, all of whom he lived to see grown except two. A kind husband and indulgent father, beloved by all who knew him. He was a member of the society of Friends and lived a consistent member until his death. A wife and four children are left to mourn his loss. He bore his sufferings with christian patience, and resignation, and died in the hope of a blessed immortality. A large concurse of people followed his remains to their last resting place.
