JOHN GROSE Died Friday Night Funeral at Upper Sandusky Sunday Afternoon MRS. KATHERINE GROSE, widow of JOHN GROSE, died Friday at 12:20 p.m. at the home of her daughter, MRS. W. L. LOSEY, 542 Whetstone street, as the result of a stroke of para- lysis, aged 52 years, two months and two days. MRS. GROSE had made her home with her daughter in Bucyrus for the past six months. Her husband died a year ago last August and was buried at Upper Sandusky, where MRS. GROSE will be bur- ied Sunday, funeral services being held in the German Lutheran church of that city, Sunday afternoon, conducted by pastor, Rev. C. F. Betz, with burial in the Old Mission cemetery by the side of her husband. MRS. GROSE was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. JOHN RITTER of Upper Sandusky, both of whom are living there. After the death of her hus- band in August 1914, MRS. GROSE continued to live at Upper Sandusky until six months ago when she came to Bucyrus to live. MRS. GROSE is survived by six children, five daughters and one son, as follows: MRS. GEORGE E. VanZANDT, of Bellevue; MRS. GUY JACKSON of Marion; MRS. EDWARD TRAUTWEIN, of St. Louis, Michigan; MRS. WALTER ABUETT of Alliance; MRS. W. L. LOSEY of Bucyrus and HARRY GROSE of Ft. Wayne. She is also survived by five brothers and five sisters. MRS. GROSE was a motherly lady of splendid characteristics, and thought not widely known in Bucyrus, having been ill most of the time of her residence here, she is re- membered by many who met her and her patience and fortitude impressed those about her. The relatives and close friends have the sympathy of all in their deep bereavement. ===============================================================================
