ANNIE DEEMS, who has been in poor health for quite a long time, died at her home one mile south of Crestline Friday afternoon at 2:25 o'clock. She was bedfast for four months and death was due to carcinoma of the liver. Funeral services were held from her late residence at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, Rev. Grenfell officiating. Burial at the Talbott cemetery. ANNIE BELLE STINE was a daughter of the late JOHN and ELECTA RUSSEL STINE, who resided on the farm where she died. She was born March 9, 1867 and died at the age of 52 years and 18 days. The home in which she died was built by her parents when she was three years of age, and she has spent her entire life there with the exception of one year directly following her marriage, when she lived three miles south of Crestline. She was married April 7, 1886 to JACOB R. DEEMS, who died July 3, 1911. She tenderly cared for her aged mother-in-law, who died July 1 last at the age of 86 years. MRS. DEEMS was the mother of nine children, two of whom died in infancy. Surviving chil- dren are: JOHN and EDGAR, of near Crestline; CLARENCE, with the 102d Transportation Corps, in France; ELECTA, RUSSEL, WALTER and GRACE, all at home. Also one granddaughter, CORA MAE DEEMS. ===============================================================================
