The children are separated from their homes and families, and almost 70 percent of them have not even had a visitor for a long time. A great many are orphans. The league, a non- sectarian, non-profit, complete- ly voluntary group, has con- tributed to the welfare and comfort of these children since 1939. It has engaged in pro- grams for medical research, therapy, rehabilitation and other important projects. Making an appeal, for the children, the league urges that persons who wish to aid may send their gifts directly to the children by mailing contribu- tions to Welfare League, in care of Dr. Henry C. Storrs, senior director, Letchworth Village, Thiells, Rockland County, N.Y. The approximate age of the boy or girl for whom the gift is intended should be indicated on the par- cel. Wearing apparel in all sizes and for both sexes, as well as toys or other gifts, are badly needed. ===========================================================================
