GRAVE L. LOOMIS, and the sheriff is called upon for pro- tection. The alleged excuse for the projected attack on the property of the LOOMIS family is a pretneded interest in the custody of the orphan, son of WASHINGTON LOOMIS whose life was taken some twelve years ago by a mob. The custody of the boy has been awarded legally to MISS LOOMIS, his aunt, who has placed him at school. Those who are stimu- lating the mob movement are demanding that, in spite of the legal proceedings, the boy shall be surrendered. ===========================================================================
