Monday, June 12, 1978 JOSEPH H. WHALEN Joseph H. Whalen, 79 Franklin St., died Sunday June 11, 1978 at Mercy Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness. Mr. Whalen, a lifelong resi- dent of Auburn, was the son of the late Lawrence and Bridget Scully Whalen. He was a retired employee of the City of Auburn. Mr. Whalen was a communit- cant of St. Mary's Church. Surviving is a sister in law, Mrs. Ana Whalen, Auburn, A brother in law, Edward F. Ryan, Auburn, Several nieces, nephews. Funeral services will take place at 9 a.m., Tuesday June 13, 1978 at the Farrell Funeral Home, 84 South St. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at 84 South St. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. ===========================================================================
